Day After – ‘What do you want out of your professional life?’

Jul 27 2011 Published by under Day After

Thanks, everyone, who participated in our chat yesterday!  It was great to speak with everyone about the struggles, the resources, and the affirmation of balancing work to get a paycheck and work to do good in this world.

Special shout-out to @EchoingGreen & @laragalinsky for joining us and sharing a little insight without giving away the whole book called Work on Purpose.  Everyone should check out the book and really think about getting it, I think mine will be shipping tommorrow.  Also, take a peek at Echoing Green‘s Work on Purpose Resources Page.
Also, I want to special shout-out @ebraden33, Liz Braden from Building Tomorrow! She did a great job letting everyone know about yesterday’s Millennial Chat via Twitter! Thanks, Liz!

Yesterday’s chat transcript can be found here - http://sfy.co/DqA via Storify.

Next week’s topic has already been decided through the persuasion of Building Tomorrow’s two interns – Claire & Estelle.

How to engage us, #millennials, by tweeting ALL day!

Yes! A big question.. Do you like when organizations are tweeting at you all day?  Do you want to tell them to give it a rest?  Share you insights next week!  It is also in support of Building Tomorrow’s Tweet-A-Thon they are holding ALL day next Tuesday, August 2nd.

Do you have a topic that keeps on bugging you at work or one has something a company or organization has done bothered you ?  Let’s chat it out!  Millennial Chat is just a baby compared to other chats, still finding its personality, and the topics that are suggested by YOU will be the topic that next week.  Comment below to leave your ideas for future discussion, or DM me - @Willie_Matis, or email me – matisw22@gmail.com

Welcome to Millennial Chat!

A weekly Twitter chat that we can use to learn about ways to engage people of our own generation and learn from each other’s experiences in philanthropy and civic engagement.

Here is our first poll!  Each week you can submit topics to myself either through email: matisw22@gmail.com or Twitter – @Willie_Matis, and the poll will be up by the Wednesday or Thursday before the next chat!

Looking forward to chatting with everyone!  Tweet the poll using this link – http://twtpoll.com/qzyaew
